Privacy Policy

uRekoin is a personal budget management application developed by Sebastian Mulè ("we", "the developer"). Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle, where it stays, and with whom it may be shared.

1. Data the app handles on your device

Your financial data is stored locally on your device (SQLite database) and is not sent to our servers:

  • Budget settings (salary, savings goals)
  • Manually entered or detected expenses and categories
  • Fixed expenses, subscriptions and due dates
  • App preferences (language, currency)

2. Notification access (auto-tracking)

If you enable auto-tracking, the app reads payment notifications to detect the amount. This analysis happens entirely on-device: notification content is never sent to us or to third parties.

3. Screenshot import (OCR)

If you share a screenshot to import transactions, the image is analyzed on-device using Google ML Kit (on-device text recognition). The recognition model may be downloaded from Google Play Services. Images are not uploaded to our servers.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version shows ads via Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect and process device identifiers and usage data (e.g. advertising ID, device information). This is the only flow of data to third parties.

Consent (EU/EEA, UK, Switzerland users): on first launch we show a Google consent form (UMP) where you can accept or refuse the use of data for advertising. If you refuse, ads will be non-personalized.

5. In-app purchases

The Premium subscription is handled by Google Play Billing. Payment data is processed by Google: the developer has no access to it.

6. Data we do NOT collect

The developer does not collect or receive on its servers: your identity, credentials or account/card numbers, GPS location, or usage analytics. (Point 4 still applies to data handled by Google AdMob.)

7. Data sharing

The developer does not sell, rent or trade your personal or financial data. The only third parties involved are Google AdMob (device data for advertising, point 4) and Google Play (purchases, point 5).

8. Storage and security

Data is stored locally (SQLite), with no cloud sync unless you explicitly export it (CSV/Excel).

9. Your rights

You can access, export (CSV/Excel) or delete your data from the app settings or by uninstalling. You can change your advertising consent choice at any time by resetting your device or app preferences.

10. This website (urekoin.app)

The site is hosted on Cloudflare and uses no cookies. For traffic statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or individual identifiers and does not track visitors across sites. There are no forms, sign-ups or profiling.

Any updates will be posted on this page with the revision date.
